Frequently Asked Questions

How do I save the worksheet as PDF?

Click the 'Print' button on the result page and choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination. Cmd+P on Mac or Ctrl+P on Windows works as well. You can save it as a blank worksheet to fill in by hand later, or fill it on screen first and then print. The output hides the navbar, FAQ, and buttons; only the worksheet itself shows.

How many Objectives and Key Results can I add?

The worksheet supports 1 to 5 Objectives and 1 to 7 Key Results per Objective; these limits match the methodology's recommended range. In practice the ideal combo for most teams is 2-3 Objectives with 3-4 Key Results each. More dilutes focus, less narrows scope.

How are the cycle dates determined?

We use standard calendar quarters: Q1 = January 1 to March 31, Q2 = April 1 to June 30, Q3 = July 1 to September 30, Q4 = October 1 to December 31. The mid-cycle check-in is placed at the midpoint of the quarter, and the retrospective is scheduled 3 days before quarter end. If your fiscal year is different, download the worksheet and edit the dates by hand.

Should I fill the worksheet on screen or by hand?

Both work, depending on the use case. Filling by hand during a team planning workshop tends to raise thinking quality through pen-paper interaction; you can digitize it later. For a quick draft or for remote teams, filling on screen and sharing is more practical. The worksheet supports both: print it out, fill it in, then transfer to DevOKR or another tracking tool.
