OKR TRAINING SERVICE

Practice-Driven OKR Training

We bring the OKR methodology to your teams through a lean, fully interactive training model that stays close to the work, not the theory. To build effective OKR writing practice, every workshop runs on real scenarios drawn directly from your organisation's processes and dynamics.

Hands-on, every module L&D-designed, practitioner-delivered

Built for application in the field, not theoretical knowledge

Most organisations struggle with OKR application, not with the theory. Writing Key Results that measure outcomes rather than activities, aligning leadership on the evaluation criteria, and pulling meetings out of routine status updates cannot be solved by sitting through a presentation. These challenges only get resolved alongside an expert, working on real scenarios.

In our training, designed together with Learning & Development specialists and delivered by certified coaches, every module closes with a concrete artifact. Through this model, which we have delivered to more than 500 professionals to date, your teams leave the training not with notes but with usable OKR sets, tested under live coaching.

Finding the right model for your situation

Our training programs are the right fit when the goal is to give teams the capability to write, score, and run their own OKRs independently. For building a new system from the ground up or redesigning an existing one, consulting is the right entry. For improving the performance of a system already running, coaching is the better choice. The four scenarios below are where our training model delivers the highest value.

Theory in place, practice missing. Your team is familiar with the OKR concept but needs guidance to adapt the methodology to their own business processes and design the right objectives.

Leadership needs a shared language. Before rolling the methodology out company-wide, the C-suite and department leaders need to be fully aligned on scoring criteria, stretch goals, and cycle cadence.

OKR and KPI confusion. The system is in place, but Key Results are tied to daily activities instead of outcomes, and the goal-writing approach has to be rebuilt.

Scaling and growing internal trainers. You want to keep OKR culture sustainable as the organisation grows by building your own internal trainer bench to onboard new teams.

Four formats. Pick the one that matches where your team is

We offer four core training formats, each shaped around your organisation's OKR maturity and dynamics. We narrow down the right model for your needs together on the discovery call.

  • Realistic scoring practice and case-based evaluation
  • Core capability reference set for use in future cycles
Two half-days Up to 20 participants
Leadership

  • Shared principles for calibration and scoring discipline
  • Evaluation format and reporting template at the leadership level
One full day C-suite and department leaders

What you take away
  • A certified internal trainer team able to deliver training without external support
  • Trainer-ready slides and practice sets covering every module
  • One-on-one coaching and feedback on live workshop delivery
Six weeks 4 to 8 internal trainer candidates

How to find the program that fits your organisation

Use the profiles below as a reference to identify the training model best suited to your organisation's OKR maturity and current dynamics. To make the decision fully clear, we confirm the right program together on the discovery call.

Teams new to OKRs

For organisations theoretically familiar with the methodology but without hands-on experience yet. The right choice when the goal is to build a shared OKR language, gain outcome-driven goal-writing skill, and start a check-in rhythm.

Recommended Program: Core OKR Training Workshop

Leadership team and program sponsors

For organisations preparing to roll the system out company-wide or looking to strengthen alignment at the executive level. Aims to build a shared leadership language around scoring criteria, stretch goals, and cycle cadence.

Recommended Program: Leader OKR Workshop

Growing and scaling organisations

For organisations whose OKR practice already runs but want to reduce reliance on external training as they grow. Aims to build a sustainable internal trainer bench that can deliver standard, consistent training to new teams.

Recommended Program: Internal Trainer Development (Train-the-Trainer) Program

Six learning modules built on practice and outcomes

Our training is built around six core modules, each grounded in your organisation's real processes and closing with a concrete artifact. The Core OKR Training Workshop covers all six modules; focused workshops drill into selected topics based on need. Every module ends not with theoretical knowledge but with a usable result your team has drafted.

01

OKR Fundamentals

The dynamics of the OKR methodology, the factors behind successful adoption, and identifying the integration model that best fits your organisation. Building the conceptual foundation before goal-setting begins.

02

Effective Objective Design

The criteria for qualitative, inspiring, time-bounded, and memorable Objectives. Participants draft initial Objectives on their own areas of responsibility and refine them through structured feedback.

03

Outcome-Based Key Result Design

The distinction between leading and lagging indicators, choosing between metrics and milestones, and how to measure the right thing. Designing real, organisation-specific Key Results that focus on impact rather than activities.

04

Evaluation and Scoring Dynamics

The distinction between stretch and committed goals, confidence scoring, and calibration principles. Transparent, data-driven evaluation practice on the OKRs built in earlier modules.

05

Regular Check-ins and the CFA Model

Structuring weekly review meetings around Coaching, Feedback, and Acknowledgement principles. Practical scenario work that turns meetings from routine status updates into strategic focus sessions.

06

Process Optimisation and Continuous Improvement

Analysing the core challenges teams hit in practice: KR-vs-KPI confusion, sandbagging, broken cascading. Optimising the OKR drafts you have built and preparing them fully for the next cycle.

How it runs: from request to lasting organisational culture

Our training runs in four core stages. The element that makes learning stick is this systematic design supporting the workshop end to end.

Discovery and needs analysis

We analyse your organisation's OKR maturity level, audience, and expectations. By mapping the current state, we produce a training content proposal focused entirely on your needs.

Custom training content design

We adapt the modules and exercises to your business processes directly, instead of relying on hypothetical examples. Before delivery, we share the program with you and finalise it based on your feedback.

Hands-on workshop delivery

Online, in-person, or hybrid format, centred on live facilitation, hands-on goal-writing, and real-time coaching. Every participant leaves with their own drafted, scored, and validated OKR sets.

Follow-up and integration

To turn the learning into a daily working routine, we plan follow-up sessions after the workshop. The first cycle gets scored and the system is integrated into your organisational culture based on real data.

Why Devokr OKR Training?

We combine effective learning methodology with OKR practices proven in the field. The training is delivered under the guidance of our OKR-BOK™ certified practitioners, who have successfully integrated the process into different organisations before.

Learning-focused training design and certified practitioner guidance

Online, in-person, or hybrid format options aligned with your working model

Frequently Asked Questions

Which workshop should you choose: the Core OKR Training Workshop or the Leader OKR Workshop?

If you want to give your teams the capability to write OKRs, evaluate them, and establish follow-up routines, start with the two-half-day Core OKR Training Workshop. If your aim is for the executive team to take ownership of the system, build a shared language for goal calibration, and run the process as a management tool, choose the one-day Leader OKR Workshop instead. If development is targeted on both fronts, we run the workshops back-to-back on an integrated schedule.

Are the workshops delivered online or only in-person?

All three formats are supported: online (in real time), in-person (at a venue you arrange), and hybrid (some participants in the room, others online). The curriculum is identical across formats; facilitation and group exercises adapt to each format's constraints. In-person carries the highest interaction density; online is practical for geographically distributed teams.

Do participants get a certificate at the end?

Participants of the Core OKR Training Workshop and our focused workshops receive a Devokr Certificate of Attendance. Specialists who complete the Internal Trainer Development (Train-the-Trainer) program earn a Devokr OKR Trainer Certificate that validates their capability to deliver training within the organisation.

After the Train-the-Trainer program, will we still need external training support?

No. The goal of this program is exactly that your organisation becomes self-sufficient on OKR training. By the end of the six-week program, your internal trainers can deliver the full Core OKR Training curriculum on their own. The trainer materials and slide sets transfer to you. As new teams join in following years, your internal trainers can run the training again. We can offer an annual refresh session if you want one, but it is not required.

Do you tailor the curriculum to our sector or business context?

Yes, every program is tailored to the needs surfaced during the discovery call. Instead of generic OKR examples, we use the real context of your sector, team structures, and current processes. Exercises run on participants' own work. This tailoring is part of the standard service, not an add-on package.

How many people can join a program and what is the cost?

To keep interaction quality high, we cap the Core OKR Training Workshop at 20 participants and prefer 8-15 for the Leader OKR Workshop. When demand exceeds 20, we split the organisation into separate cohorts; for focused workshops, capacity depends on the topic. Training budgets vary by program format, participant volume, level of customisation, and location. After the discovery call where we clarify your needs, we send a tailored proposal within two business days.
